Philosophy of Biology Cafe

One of the goals of the Philosophy of Biology Cafe is the exploration of new, under-studied, or under-discussed topics. Blend(s) of the Month (BoTM) is an attempt to serve this goal by inviting one or two specialist guests each month to address such topics and to provide an opportunity for the larger community to weigh in.

As Blendmaster, I am working with others to identify topics and to solicit posts. At present there are about 15 BoTM posts on the working schedule, and we're hoping to serve them at a rate of about two per month. Slow brewed is best, after all. Currently scheduled topics range from environmental philosophy to a discussion of the role of sociology in biology studies to hearing about new centers of study and the vision behind them.

I'll be announcing the full schedule for the next few months soon. By all means, if there's a topic you'd like to see addressed, let me know.
